If you’re a fan of the FNAF series and the jump scare style of the POV game, then you’ll love FNAF’s upcoming game, Security Breach. This game is assumed to be released in late 2020. ScottGame’s website has released a teaser picture of the game. The cover photo is a red warning triangle with the figure of Glamrock in a more muscular form. For those who don’t know the FNAF game well, the series center Freddy’s Pizza Place where you play as the midnight security guard.
The mission of the game is to navigate the pizza place, making it alive by checking all of the controls and fending off all the psycho-animatronics. Each FNAF game has its unique spin on this concept, such as a different theme, a variation of the main characters, a unique storyline, and additional controls. The FNAF game revolves around the main animatronic characters, which are Bonnie, Foxy, Chica, and Freddy. Since FNAF’s first release, developed by Scott Cawthon, the series has been a hit sensation. We’ll be taking a closer look at the new FNAF security breach game.
Where It Takes Place
Many FNAF fanatics are always curious to know where the environment is for the FNAF games. With Security Breach, it seems that the game is set to be inside a mall, but with a very 1980 ‘s-like motif style. And Freddy’s Pizza restaurant will be located in the center of this mall in the main square. Surrounding the square, there will be a few other attractions, such as an arcade, movie theaters, and laser tag arena. Then there’s also the main stage of the mall where there are a few Glamrock animatronics.
These animatronics seem to include Glamrock Freddy, Glamrock Chica, Roxanne Wolf, and Montgomery Gator, where they are jamming out music for an enthusiastic crowd that is waving glow sticks. It’s not confirmed that these are the characters in the pictures, but it’s highly likely given the figures of the characters and the previous history of the FNAF series.
Hidden Code
On ScottGame’s website, we’ve looked into a source code where there seemed to be a private conversation held between two characters in the game. The following code goes as follows:
Stay the course.
I will.
Focus on my voice.
I will.
Don’t anyone lead you astray.
I won’t.
Have you selected one?
I have.
We’re still unsure about the meaning behind this source code. However, it could be someone attempting to help a security guard get through the night without getting caught by the scary animatronics. Typically these psycho-animatronics are known to roam the hallways and all of the rooms. That’s why you usually have to watch out for all rooms to avoid a confrontation with them. In this scenario, someone may be trying to help the security guard navigate the night to survive the Five Nights at Freddy’s.
Teasers
Over the last 9 or 10 months, since its announcement of the game on August 8, 2019, there have been many teasers that the company has released. Scott Cawthon, the game developer for these FNAF games, has been notorious for releasing teasers in advance to generate buzz about the game. He likes to leave hidden clues to get people talking about it. They have content created about the speculation of what could be. In its most recent teaser, the website has announced that it anticipates the game to be released by the end of 2020.
Also, the game character will seem to be a female security guard this time. Right now, there is only one image on the website. The picture shows a female security guard with blonde hair and a cap, with a flashlight in one hand and a walkie talkie on the other hand. We suspect that walkie talkie is how the security guard may have been communicating with someone else in the hidden conversation mentioned above. The security guard seems to be peaking through the door, checking to see if any animatronics are there. Also, on the bottom of the image has the words “protect.”
This is just the latest teaser released by Scott Hawthorn. Many teasers have been previously released, such as the red neon sign shown earlier. In the spring of 2020, an FNAF calendar was released on Amazon. It revealed an upcoming list of products that explicitly listed out the names of the characters in the game. Hawthorn must’ve intended to release this calendar, knowing the names of the characters would be revealed. The character names were Glamrock Chica, Glamrock Monty, Glamrock Fred, Roxanne Wolf, and Vanny.
For those who aren’t familiar, Glamrock comes from a specific style of rock music in the ’70s. It seems like the game takes place at a previous time. Each game has its own unique storyline. It forces the player to click through all of the story that pops up on the screen when playing. I wonder if the game will say if there has been time travel or maybe they are replaying how Freddy’s Pizza Restaurant used to be like back in the ’70s or ’80s.
Previously, there have been even more leaks out with character names. For instance, on March 24, 2020, there was a teaser poster that displayed an alligator. For those who downloaded this file, it read “Montgomery.jpg,” If you’ve looked at the metadata, it reads Glamrock Monty.
According to a post that Scott Cawthon had made on Twitter, he was disappointed about the leaks made on this latest FNAF game. Many FNAF enthusiasts have speculated that “PizzaPlex” was going to be the title of the game. In his post, he mentioned how low-resolution pictures were pieced together and leaked out instead of the finished artwork. In my opinion, the Security Breach is a much cooler name than PizzaPlex. It’s also worth noting that this game is being released with Steel Wool Studios. And according to Scott, the game will look amazing.
The Meaning of Security Breach Title
For those who had played the game FNAF Help Wanted, you may remember towards the end of the game. This is where a storyline of a security breach is mentioned. When inserting a tape, the computer voiced that a security breach had occurred, and that may be a client had done so. In the FNAF game Special Delivery, you may remember a series of emails that read that a character named Vanessa was trying to hack into the security information for unknown purposes.
The Vanessa character we suspect is Vanny, a new animatronic introduced, which is the white rabbit animatronic. The story of Vanny is still unclear. However, it seems that she is under the influence of a sinister entity Glitchtrap. In the Glamrock teaser video, you can see Vanny in the background as well.
Likely what the title of Security Breach means is that it’s referencing Vanny’s prior actions of a security breach and attempting to spread Glitchtrap’s evil influence through Fazbear entertainment. As a result, she is looking to infect the Glamrock animatronics to potentially harvest human souls. This makes sense if Glitchtrap is, in fact, William Afton’s digital ghost. There is a connection between the games of FNAF Special Delivery, FNAF Help Wanted, and this new Security Breach game. I think it’s not a coincidence that all of the games feature a similar neon sign.
This game seems to be a trilogy and creating a new chapter in the FNAF series using a unique storyline. Perhaps the story may involve a detective who tries to investigate the security breach at Fazbear entertainment, who inadvertently becomes locked inside her previously teased shopping mall. This happens after-hours at the mercy of these possessed animatronics.
